Itinerary
Summer 2004
Day One: Fly into the city of Albuquerque. Be picked up at the airport
and settle into your hotel in the "old Towne" section of the
western square. Explore the shops and sights and join us in a fun, old
fashion western dinner as we meet for orientation tonight.
Day Two: A
sizzling western breakfast hot of the grill before we leave for Santa
Fe. Settle into our romantic hotel near the town center, and then spend
the day exploring the incredible art galleries and jewelry stores, that
have made Santa Fe so famous. Overnight in Santa Fe.
Day
Three: A day's excursion to Bandelier State Park, a powerful and peaceful
nature preserve where the Anasazi Indians lived.Spend the day in this
mystical place, in the company of wild deer that eat from your hands,
eagles soaring overhead and the surrounding wildlife. Climb into the cliff
dwelling homes and feel the power of these sacred lands as we do ceremony
in the cliffs. Explore the Chimory Church of Miracles. Arrive in Taos
that night to stay at the Laughing Horse Inn.
Day Four: Spend
the morning exploring any of Taos 7 museums and numberous art galleries.
Horseback riding in the afternoon, and that night after a special western
dinner, get into the hot jacusi beneath the stars.
Day
Five: Today we visit the village of the Pueblo Indians. These are
the original clay dwellings of the People where the tribe actually lives
today, maintaining a way of life sacred to them. Learn about the prophecies
of the "end time" and why they continue their way of life. Pipes,
rattles and jewelry available from all the craftsmen of the reservation.
Evening ceremony and sweat lodge.
Day Six: We
take a river rafting ride down the Colorado River today, daring the elements
as we plunge into 2, 3 and 4 level rapids. This is a very fun full day
event. Return at night to soak in our hot tub.
Day
Seven: After a closing breakfast we return by bus to catch your plane
in Albuqerque or you continue with us for a 5-day extention of a Vision
Quest with Robert Standing Bear at the Seven Winds sacred lands in southern
Colorado.

Five-Day
VisionQuest Extension:
Day Seven: We
travel north to the Seven Winds Sacred Medicine grounds where we meet
with our teacher Robert Standing Bear. We settle into the two large teepees
and the Hacienda lodge house. Teachings by the campfire that evening with
Standing Bear.
Day
One: We spend the day with our teacher setting up our individual spaces
to prepare for our Vision Quest. He gives us the teachings of the Power
of the Sacred Hoop, bringing the wisdom of the plants, nature and land
to us. Sweatlodge that night to prepare us for our Vision Quest.
Day Two:
Vision Quest alone on top of one of the four Buffalo Mountains with your
blanket, medicine altar pipe and water. For the next two days we honor
the Great Spirt by living the teachings from the previous day.
Day Three:
Second day of our Vision Quest. We ask for a Vision for our life direction,
our health, or our personal animals guides from Great Spirit.
Day Four: We
return from the Mountain for a morning brunch and spend the day sharing
or in solitude This morning there is another sweat lodge prepared for
us to purify and complete our ritual.
Day Five:
We return to Albuquerque to catch our planes home. Please schedule
your plane after 4:00 PM since we have a six our drive ahead of us.
